I’m Finnish, but Italy has been my home for a while now. I moved here to start a new chapter, and I’ve stayed, partly because I married into an Italian family. Through my work, I help Northern Europeans settle into life in Italy, so I know how it feels to arrive in a new country and want things to just work.
What I love most about Italy is its sense of beauty. It’s in the details: worn stone steps, light falling through tall windows, a perfectly set café table, a street that feels like a film set without trying. Coming from Finland, where design is clean and minimal, I find Italian beauty endlessly inspiring. It’s layered, lived-in and full of history.
That’s why I fell in love with this Palermo apartment. The historic floors did it for me. They have a quiet elegance and a patina that no new material can copy, and they make every room feel special. I renovated the kitchen and bathroom to be fully modern and comfortable, but I made sure to preserve the character of the floors, because they are the soul of the home.
I look after the apartment with the same care. It’s clear, honest and ready for you, with fast internet, cleaning included and no surprises. I’m always happy to share local tips or help with practical questions during your stay.
