Our apartment is located in Alcântara, one of the oldest districts in Lisbon. Alcântara has the perfect location and this is something special, near by the Tejo river , the apartment is very close to some of the most importants olds districts in Lisbon such as Baixa-Chiado (Downtown area), Alfama, Mouraria and Belém. From Alcântara you can discover importants and popular attractions such as Basílica da Estrela (Cathedral), MAAT museum, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, Belém Tower, Miradouro de Santa Catarina and also Alcântara is known to be very close to Lisbon nightlife area.

The apartment is very cozy and has the capacity for 3 people. There is a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully equiped allowing our guests to prepare their own meals. In the kitchen you will find stove, refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, and other small appliances. The living room is very well decorated, and has a sofa bed.

Alcântara is a lively and vibrant neighborhood, where you can enjoy the distance betwen the apartment till Tejo river to run or simply ride a bike and also you can appreciate the view. Near by the apartment you can discover the traditional Portuguese cuisine and wines in a wide range of restaurants and "tascas", take time to feel the vibrant sounds of Fado.

Excellent location. Not too central, not too far away. Close to lots of public transport (with a bus stop right across the street). A short bus ride to most places. Several small markets nearby, and larger ones easily accessible by bus. Plenty of cafes/restaurants as well. Tucked away off the busy street, in a small passageway. Some traffic noise during the day, but quiet at night. (No partying noise). No issues with internet. Excellent communication with the manager Rita throughout my stay. Always answered my questions/concerns. Put up with my lousy Portuguese.

Neighborhood
Some steps to climb up from the river level, but walking parallel to the river is easy, with plenty to do and see in both directions. Close to lots of public transport (with a bus stop right across the street). A short bus ride downtown. Several small markets very close, and Lidl and Pingo Doce are easily accessible by bus. A stationary shop across the street to add money to your transport card. A couple of ATMs within walking distance. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, museums, as well.

"Jardim da Estrela" for best nearby park. "Jardim 9 de Abril" for overlook of the river. "Speed Queen Laundromat" just a couple of stops up Av. Infante Santo.
