The Garden House at The Old Stone House

A charming, stylish, modern and well equiped stone house with its own courtyard and with access to the host's garden and olive grove. The house has a large central living area with kitchen, dining and sofa seating. The bedroom has a queen sized double bed with generous wardrobe space, the bathroom has a shower (with both solar heated water and a boiler for days when the sun doesn't shine). The sofa bed in the living area sleeps two comfortably and it packs away easily with underseat storage for bedding. There is air conditioning both in the bedroom and in the living area and there is a wood burning stove for colder days/evenings. The hosts live in the main house on site and will not intrude however they are there for any questions or advice if needed. They are also happy to let you use their washing machine when/if needed.
Sykourio is a friendly small agricultural village with a cool, laid-back vibe. There are small supermarkets, bakers, pharmacy , health centre and a fresh fruit and veg market every Friday. It's a perfect place to get off the beaten track and to experience authentic rural Greece first hand. There is walking and hiking in and around the area as the village is at the foot of Mount Ossa (2000m). Alternatively drive an hour and access the Olympus mountains with their famous peaks and waterfalls. For those who love cycling bring a bike as it’s a popular destination for both cyclists and adventurous mountain bikers. The hosts can also recommend local companies that arrange canyoning and rafting when in season. As for beaches the coast is a 30 drive away and then there are so many wonderful places to choose from - with beaches for relaxing, being in nature, partying or trying out different water sports - there’s something for everyone! And if you want vibrant city life then Larissa is only 20 minutes away with shops, entertainment, restaurants and some outstanding archeological sites. We promise you you’ll never be bored!

Ein charmantes, stilvolles, modernes und gut ausgestattetes Steinhaus mit eigenem Innenhof und Zugang zum Garten und Olivenhain des Gastgebers. Das Haus verfügt über einen großen zentralen Wohnbereich mit Küche, Esszimmer und Sofa-Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett und einen geräumigen Kleiderschrank, das Badezimmer hat eine Dusche (mit solarbeheiztem Wasser und einem Boiler für Tage, an denen die Sonne nicht scheint). Das Schlafsofa im Wohnbereich bietet Platz für zwei Personen und lässt sich leicht zusammenpacken, wobei unter der Sitzfläche Stauraum für Bettzeug vorhanden ist. Es gibt eine Klimaanlage sowohl im Schlafzimmer als auch im Wohnbereich und einen Holzofen für kältere Tage/Abende. Die Gastgeber wohnen im Haupthaus vor Ort und werden Sie nicht stören, stehen Ihnen aber bei Bedarf mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Sie lassen Sie auch gerne ihre Waschmaschine benutzen, wenn Sie sie brauchen.

Die Gegend lädt zum Wandern ein, denn das Dorf liegt am Fuße des Berges Ossa (2000 m). Oder Sie fahren eine Stunde und erreichen das Olympus-Gebirge mit seinen berühmten Gipfeln und Wasserfällen. Wer gerne Rad fährt, sollte ein Fahrrad mitbringen, denn die Gegend ist ein beliebtes Ziel für Radfahrer und abenteuerlustige Mountainbiker. Die Gastgeber können auch lokale Unternehmen empfehlen, die in der Saison Canyoning und Rafting anbieten. Was die Strände angeht, so ist die Küste nur 30 Autominuten entfernt und es gibt so viele wunderbare Orte zur Auswahl - mit Stränden zum Entspannen, in der Natur, zum Feiern oder zum Ausprobieren verschiedener Wassersportarten - es ist für jeden etwas dabei! Und wenn Sie Lust auf ein pulsierendes Stadtleben haben, dann ist Larissa nur 20 Minuten entfernt, mit Geschäften, Unterhaltung, Restaurants und einigen herausragenden archäologischen Stätten.
