On the other side and at an one hour distance there is Taugetos, a beautiful mountain where one can go on excursions and enjoy nature.
In addition to distances as well in one hour, one can visit the beautiful seaside towns of the prefecture of Messinia, such as Koroni, Methoni and also the historic Mani.
Furthermore kalamata is a culturally upgraded town with a beautiful square in the center, modern shops and a historical center with plenty of taverns, bars and restaurants.
