How can I book my selected accommodation?

To successfully rent an accommodation through Flatio, it's necessary to submit a reservation request. The reservation request can be considered your personal business card, based on which the landlord decides whether to accept or reject it.

After you submit a reservation request, the landlord has 24 hours to accept (or reject) your request.

Making a reservation request is easy. First you need to select the specific listing you want to choose and open it in your browser.

Reservation section

On the right side of each listing description, you'll find a reservation section. Here you should fill in the fields "Move-in" and "Move-out".

If you can select both dates, congratulations! The selected accommodation is probably available on these dates (the information is based on the last update of the listing availability by the landlord so it may not be always completely accurate).

The system will show you a list of all rent amounts and fees. If you click the "Reservation Request" button, you'll be directed to the reservation summary.

  • Reservation details

In the reservation summary, you'll see an overview of all important information from your pending reservation request.

Please review this information, especially the reservation details and the list of all rent amounts. We strongly recommend that you read the lease agreement template and cancelation policy to avoid possible future complications.

Once you've reviewed all the information in this summary, click the "Next Step" button to proceed to the second step.

  • Personal data

The next step of the reservation request proces is to fill in your personal information. Please remember that the landlord will decide whether to accept or reject your reservation request based on this information.

We recommend you write down everything you can in the sections "About me" (in case of an individual person) and "Who will live in the apartment" (in case of a company).

In both cases, it's very important to indicate the number of people who'll need accommodation and the purpose of the stay.

CAUTION: Fill in the correct contact information. We use the email address and phone number for the system/personal communication with you, and you can log in to your My Housing account (created together with the reservation request) with these details.

In this step you can also enter the discount code for a reservation fee or for the first rent, if you have such a code.

  • Reservation confirmation

If you press the "Continue" button, you'll be taken to the last step of the reservation request process, where we'll show you the information you've already entered.

Please check this information again and if you're sure, press the "Confirm Reservation" button and you'll be asked to pay the reservation fee.

  • Payment of the reservation fee

The reservation fee can only be paid online by payment card to expedite the entire reservation process.

The money for the reservation request will be immediately blocked on your card and the reservation request will be successfully created and sent to the landlord.

The payment gateway accepts most international payment cards and with a sufficient balance and correctly set online payment limits, the money will be successfully blocked.

Sometimes there may be insufficient limit for online payments or not enough money in your bank account, or the total daily limit for online payments is exceeded. In these cases it's always necessary to contact your bank to solve these issues.

Don't have a payment card?

Although Flatio is an online service and we assume that a majority of our users have a valid payment card with sufficient limit, we also facilitate the payment of the reservation fee by bank transfer.

However, as the procedure is quite lengthy, it's only applicable if you're looking for accommodation at least one week in advance.

This option can be used only if you have enough time to find an accommodation. The money for the reservation fee must be transferred to our company's account (the transfer takes 2-3 business days).

Once we receive the money, we can issue you a 100% discount code for the reservation fee, which you can apply in the second step of the reservation request process.
